Weddings at Glen Abbey United Church
Our Facility:
The stained glass and polished wood in our Sanctuary provide a traditional and intimate setting to celebrate your Wedding, and yet is fully accessible to all. For larger events we can comfortably seat 350-375 guests in the main part of the Church and an additional 125 in the area just before it, if needed, with ample free parking. All guests will hear the ceremony very well, as we have excellent speakers throughout.
Our Minister:
Our Minister, Rev. Ted Vance, really enjoys officiating at weddings and also working with you to develop a ceremony that will be beautiful, but also very enjoyable, engaging and low stress!
His services include a first meeting to discuss the overall ceremony, providing suggestions and keeping in touch as to how you would like it to be customized. Closer to the wedding date, you will meet again to ensure everything is on track and to get to know you better, to ensure the service is really personal and you two will shine through. Then he will write a customized service and message, guide you through the rehearsal, officiate at your ceremony, and complete and mail in the documents.
Our Pianist/Organist
We have both a grand piano and organ available to provide the musical setting you desire. Services provided include a consultation, and providing music before and after the ceremony, as well as the selected entrance song for the bridesmaids, for the Bride, while signing the documents and the joyous recessional after you are officially married!
Our Wedding Co-ordinator
To minimize stress levels she will help you with all those little details on the wedding day, coordinate the entrance of the bridesmaids, and will be present at the rehearsal to assist.
