    Wesley Ministries

Several members of the committee met in the Lounge on Tuesday October 14th to assemble 15 more “Sunshine Boxes” for the Wesley Ministries interim housing facility in Burlington.

This brings the number of boxes to a total of 35 this year, with the understanding that they will need another delivery of 15 or more in a few months to meet the increasing number of women and young families requiring the housing services provided by Wesley.

Thank you to Susan Cutler for leading this important initiative.

  • Hello November

November is a time to remember.

We remember those who served, and those no longer with us. I hope you find time to enjoy the change in seasons and find opportunities to share happiness with your church family.

Advent begins on November 30th, and this month is the perfect time to start making plans, and inviting friends and family to attend the 4pm and/or 7:30pm service on Christmas Eve!

They will thank you for it!

  • Glen Abbey Website Update

The Glen Abbey United Church communications team initiated a project during August 2025 to upgrade the Church website so as to provide a more flexible platform to connect with the community. The refreshed design will enhance accessibility, ensure mobile responsiveness, and present information in a visually appealing, easy-to-navigate format.

The project included content updates, multimedia integration, and information that better highlights the church’s mission, ministries, and upcoming initiatives. This improved digital presence will make it easier for both long-time members and new visitors to engage with all that Glen Abbey has to offer, whether they’re browsing from home or on the go.

A prominent News Page is also included which will serve as the central hub for timely updates on church activities, special events, and community announcements, ensuring that members are always informed and connected.
